Introductory workshop on EwE version 6
The course was planned as a three-day introduction, and was intended for scientists with some prior experience with ecosystem modeling. Participants were expected to have at least a cursory familiarity with the Ecopath with Ecosim (EwE) software, which can be downloaded freely from www.ecopath.org. We used the new version 6 of the software, which has been reprogrammed and redesigned in the .NET environment.
The course provided an introduction to the use of ecosystem modeling as a part of the fisheries management process.
